Priscila Maria lives in a favela of São Gonçalo in Rio de Janeiro who applies for a for a scholarship at a renowned private school in the richest part of the city. Her essay stands out and her scholarship gets approved by the evaluation board.
In addition to Maria, as she prefers to be called, two other public scholars get into the same scholarship: Zilton, 16, and Aline, 15. Although they got in, the three have a bigger challenge ahead: keeping their grades high, proving they deserve to be there and adapting to a world of privilege that never belonged to them.

As every film needs an actress, and vice versa, the three of them end up joining in an incredible adventure across the continent, bound for São Paulo, where Ana and Lucia will film the last scene of their film: Flora's reunion with the parents, with whom she broke ties ten years ago.

Maguila is a boxer of humble origin who won, with great humor and joy, and became a world boxing champion. He was worshiped by the press, conquered the country and the world with his charisma, his naive way, becoming one of the main characters of Brazilian sport.
Set in the dramatic backstage of the boxing world, the film tells the story of Adilson from his arrival in the city of São Paulo at the age of 14, leaving his 20 brothers behind to work as a bricklayer in the big city. Although his story is tough, Maguila's always playful way turns the film into a fun piece.
